Description

This book presents a mathematical model of malaria and pneumonia co-infection to explain how both diseases spread individually and together within a population. It uses a system of differential equations to describe transitions between susceptible, infected, co-infected, and recovered states, while incorporating key factors such as transmission, treatment, vaccination, and immunity loss. It  showed  how interaction between the two diseases increases persistence and complicates control efforts. It also revealed  that treatment, vaccination, and preventive measures significantly reduce infection levels, while high transmission rates promote sustained outbreaks.
