Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are one of the common occupational disorders among CNG drivers but the prevalence rates are not well documented in our country. The objective of this study was to evaluate MSDs in terms of perception of pain experienced by the CNG drivers. A cross sectional carried among the 104 participants with MSDs was face to face interviewed for identifying associated risk factors and status of MSDs. The prevalence of musculoskeletal disorder among the CNG driver 75.96%. The mean age 39 years with SD of 9.932. Out of the 104 participants, ninety percent participants are married and half of the participants are illiterate. One third participants are driving more than 200 km in everyday without use of back support more than 10 hours. More than half of participants had break and clutch are not in proper position. About one third participants had previous injury and suffered severe low back pain from some years, they had also significant pain in neck, shoulder, elbow, knee region. One third of the participants had taken medication and rest of them taken others treatment. It is concluded that MSK disorders are more common among the CNG drivers and LBP are was the most common affected area. Musculoskeletal pain was related to the demography of the participants. More research is needed on musculoskeletal disorders among the CNG drivers with an emphasis on a larger sample size. Early identification and treatment will lead to the best possible outcome. Conservative management is the gold standard including physiotherapy, stabilization belts, nerve stimulation, pharmacological treatment, acupuncture, massage, relaxation, and yoga.
