The book is focused in developing and exploring the theoretical frames to new paths, innovative and original interdisciplinary avenues of research between semiotic theory and hermeneutic between art theory and social archaeology as field, the project particularly is a conjunction of both theoretical and empirical materials that includes Abdel Hernandez San Juan urban and rural fieldwork as well as his Art Criticism on contemporary Art, and Alessandro Morganti Archaeological Fieldwork on prehistorical prehispanic culture, the project originally born through a meeting about anthropological approach to a contemporary art installation focused in emigrant subjectivities, both Hernandez and Morganti are emigrants and they committed themself with exploring a research project on this subject mixing elements of Abdel Hernandez San Juan phenomenological theory on self and acervo to cultural theory and analysis, and morganti expertises in archaeology while the project evolutioned to move beyond its initial parameters to be extended in general as a major, pivotal one to the merging new field of art and anthropology.
