Banking companies were exposed to different risks while doing their core business, especially while lending loans. A non-performing loan is a problem for a developing country like Nepal. This book tells about the financial situation in the current scenario after the corona struck in Nepal. The effect of the covid-19 on the credit risk management of the private and public banks. In January 2020, Nepal took steps to prevent a widespread outbreak of covid-19 and declared a total shutdown except for emergency services. Due to the Nation wise lock down the nation suffered from an economic crisis. For more than nine months, the businesses were completely on halt. The bank's non-performing loans were affected to a certain degree. This book tells about the observations and findings from the author after analyzing the six bank's annual reports. The author selects the three public and three private banks to find out and compare the impact of the non-performing loan on both private and public sector banks. It shows the relationship of the non-performing loans to the return on assets, profitability, and Net Profit. It talks about the measures that guide private and public banks to maintain the best quality of assets by the central bank. It only uncovers relationships between non-performing loans of the six commercial banks with Net Profit and Return on Assets.
