Description

The book tells a bit of Brazil's history, specifically the part concerning the ethnic and racial relations of people living in the country over the past fifty years, and is divided into three chapters. These chapters assess perceptions of racial discrimination among individuals with a black phenotype, whether occurring in the labor market, by police forces, in the justice system, or in other social situations. Height is a differentiating factor for other social analyses that do not consider bodily issues, such as the intersection between body weight, height, and skin color in the likelihood of perceiving social discrimination.
