Description

This book will be the first comprehensive edited book and proceeding of our one-year ViCoP (Vietnamese community of practice) project, gathering local and international school leaders and researchers who work on Vietnamese educational topics. It examines and introduces an alternative narrative to depict the transformations of Vietnamese education, specifically in different areas of inquiry in English language education. English education lays a foundation for further development of human resource capacity, global collaboration, and opening doors for Vietnamese to stay competitive and integrated into the world complexes around them. It systematizes the conceptualization of “glocalization” generated by our think tank and its implementation, making a strong case to represent the spirits of Vietnamese culture and peoples underlying Vietnamese sustained engagement and partnership opportunities in a direct response to globalization and internationalization. Vietnam educational visionaries and policymakers have suggested radical changes to revolutionize the education system to equip the next generations for 21st century internationalized skill sets and beyond.
