Description

This book introduces Adaptive Immersive Therapy (AIT), a proposed novel method for chronic anxiety and pain treatment. AIT would involve a wearable device that combines sound and touch (haptics) for a customized immersive experience that alternates between auditory and vibrational (tactile) stimuli according to the wearer's heart rate. provides a non-invasive, non-pharmacological symptom management option for people living with chronic illness. This book includes the foundational code for the suggested AIT device.
