Our works explores the carbon emission reduction mechanisms of the pharmaceutical supply chain, specifically focusing on public participation. It is based on evolutionary game theory and uses a quadrilateral evolutionary game model consisting of local government, pharmaceutical manufacturers (PMs), wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and the public as its basis. The article first classifies existing literature in this field before presenting basic assumptions for their own model including parameters and variables used to construct it. The next section analyses stability at each equilibrium point while determining strategies that are evolutionarily stable under different policies implemented by local governments - such as combination policy with both subsidies & taxes or single policy using only taxation rate alone.
