Dr Poonam Tripathi is a medical geneticist and a researcher by training. For the last 8 years she has been closely associated with patients and families with genetic disorders. She has excellent practical experience in various biochemical and molecular diagnostic services for the management of various monogenic genetic disorders. She has provided diagnostic services to patients for various genetic disorders including thalassemia, cystic fibrosis, hereditary spherocytosis, G6PD deficiency, MTHFR and triplet repeat disorder Fragile X syndrome. She is an expert in analyzing and interpreting genomic sequencing data. Her focus of scientific research is elucidating the genetic etiology of rare monogenic disorders.
