Wasswa Shafik, born in Makindye, Kampala, is a Computer Scientist, Information Technologist, and Founder of the Dig Connectivity Research Lab (DCRLab). He is an interdisciplinary scholar whose work bridges AI, sustainability, digital health, and inclusive development, with impactful publications on responsible Artificial Intelligence, Deep learning, Digital Health, Sustainable futures, and mental health.
