Wenceslaus Mudyanadzo

Wenceslaus Mudyanadzo was born on 1st January 1960 in rural Zimbabwe where he did his primary school at St Joseph’s Lunga in Nembudzia, Gokwe and thereafter attended Cyrene Secondary School in Bulawayo and Ranche House College in Harare for his High School. At university he graduated with the BSc Hons Politics and Administration, MPA and PhD in Politics and Public Management From the university Wenceslaus Mudyanadzo joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1987 thereby starting a career which was his childhood dream which brought out the best in him in terms of statecraft diplomacy during his 15-year tour of duty in the ministry. He acquired diplomatic skills in bilateral and multilateral relations management, diplomatic negotiation, mediation and arbitration, conflict resolution and transformation, promotion of trade, foreign direct investment, tourism and technology transfers, between Zimbabwe and bilateral partners, among other skills which are being reflected in this book.
 Wenceslaus Mudyanadzo left the Foreign Ministry in 2001 and joined the academic career at the University of Zimbabwe, Midlands State University and the Women’s University in Africa between2002-2022 where he taught in the areas of democracy, public administration, leadership, diplomacy, regional and international relations and good governance for 22 years. 
Wenceslaus was born, bread and lived the values of the liberation struggle which influenced his background and career direction. The values of independence, freedom, equality, justice, human rights, anti-corruption, unity, patriotism and economic empowerment are highlighted in all his publications and these are considered to be the central pillars of his academic contribution.
This book analyses Zimbabwe’s international relations and governance practices in the context of the country’s engagement and re-engagement agenda during the period 1980-2016.
