Sawsan Fahad

Sawsan Almohammed obtained her Bachelor degree in Physics from king Faisal University (2007). MSc degree in Nano-bio Science was completed at University College Dublin in 2014. She joined the Nanoscale Function Group in January 2015 as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof.. Brian Rodriguez and Prof. James Rice (Nano Photonics Group, School of Physics). Her project focuses on the investigation of the physical and optical properties of aligned semiconductor peptide nanotubes and Fmoc-FF hydrogels coated with SERS-active metal nanoparticles. Dr. Almohammed has worked as postdoctoral researcher in the Nano Photonics Group at UCD from 2019-2021. As a postdoctoral, Dr. Almohammed widen the use of peptide-based materials with graphene oxide and metal oxide nano materials for energy harvesting application and plasmonic photocatalyst.
