He obtained his degree (2003) till doctorate (2011) in nutrition from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Life Member of Nutrition Society of Malaysia (NSM) and the Malaysian Association for The Study of Obesity (MASO). He is also active in community services, research projects, postgraduate supervision and journal publications, especially in nutritional sciences, food hygiene & safety, food anthropology and nutrition education.
