History is the systematic study and documentation of past events relating to particular people, country, period, economy etc. it can also be referred to as the study of change over a period of time and it covers all aspect of human society such as political, social, economic, scientific, technological, medical, cultural, intellectual, religious and military developments (Edward, 1961). History can also be referred to as the study of the human past from written, visual and spoken sources with analysis and interpretation. The main purpose of history is to study changes over time and continuity (Edward, 1961).
