The present shape of the book is based on my experience, extending over a long period of teaching Mathematics to under-graduate and post-graduate students of different colleges and universities. It is a self-contained textbook, designed for undergraduate students, who have mathematics as one of their subsidiary subjects. This book covers the different numerical methods, which are useful to solve algebraic and transcendental equations, systems of linear algebraic equations, and ordinary differential equations (initial value problems), and also covers the different strategies of numerical integration. This book contains various solved examples and a large number of standard unsolved questions that are given as exercise at the end of each chapter.
