Chronic venous insufficiency is one of the diseases with the highest incidence in the world. It is estimated that it can affect up to 70% of the population, according to its progression and severity. This disease can cause serious health problems such as venous thrombosis and skin ulcers. But much more can cause symptoms that worsen the quality of life. This book is dedicated to understanding the venous system. However, despite this high incidence, it is often not recognized in its initial manifestations or sometimes not diagnosed correctly. The goal is to make the mechanism underlying physiological venous return accessible to all, but also in the basic understanding of its malfunction.
