Prof. Ehsan H. Feroz
Ehsan H. Feroz, PhD (UChicago) is a Professor of Accounting at the University of Washington Tacoma. He has served on the US GAO Advisory Council on Government Auditing Standards (“Yellow Book”) for seven consecutive years. His primary research interests are in institutional governance, corporate and non-profit financial governance, and governance of the financial regulatory institutions. His published work has influenced both academic research and public policy. Especially, the seminal findings of Feroz, Park, and Pastena, “The Financial and Market Effects of the SEC’s Accounting and Auditing Enforcement Releases” Journal of Accounting Research 1991 preceded the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002, Sec.704 Study of enforcement actions. Dr. Feroz is an alum of the Oxford Round Table, and a recipient of the US Association of Government Accountants’ Cornelius Tierney/Ernst & Young Research Award.
