This book presents a photovoltaics prototype façade unit in an experimental and simulation proposals. It shed some light on key performance indicators for Photovoltaics efficiency, heat recovery, power generation and passive and active cooling of Photovoltaic facades. In addition, possible integration of building’s natural ventilation to pre-heating by a duct system integrated behind photovoltaics. The book concludes that the ducted photovoltaic prototype is an efficient and successful system that provide combined heat and power efficiency of 61.67% for buoyancy cooling and heat recovery, while having an efficiency of 68.53% from forced convection cooling and power enhancement. Thus helping to improve photovoltaic performance as well as building’s façade environmental performance and thus ensures best of both worlds, architectural facades and sustainable solar energy systems.
