Zhi Huang, Associate Professor in Colloge of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Northwest A&F University. Interested in the physics of food processes; in particular, how to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of food production, processing and equipment design through physics-based models of food quality and safety. Professor Huang’s research group develops mechanistic understanding of process, quality and safety for complex food processes, under various heating modes (such as radio-frequency heating), with a goal to improve food safety and quality. Won the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Shaanxi Province and the AOC Academic Achievement Award of the United States. Fellow of Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering and Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery.
