Dr Christine Rasetti-Escargueil has completed her Degree in Pharmacy at Paris XI University and received her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology from Paris Descartes University in 1995. She worked as a Post-doctoral engineer at the French Atomic Energy Commissariat to develop new positron emission tomography radiotracers. She then joined the Welsh School of Pharmacy as a Research Associate at Cardiff University to assess novel compounds acting at adenosine and muscarinic receptors. She then became the Senior scientist in Bacteriology Division of the National Institute for Biological Standardsin London who has optimized routine in vitro cell based and ex vivo assays for Botulinum toxins potency measurements. She then joined the Institut Pasteur where she has largely contributed to the Eurobiotox consortium for the harmonisation of biological toxins detection methods in Europe.
