Dialogue, as employed by Socrates, remains a foundational philosophical method for cultivating the capacities of rational beings through disciplined and critical inquiry. The Triad: A Dialogue on Patriarchy, Vulnerability, and Justice employs this dialogical method to examine contentious questions of sexuality, human inhumanity, and the role of the state in the administration of justice. Bringing three interlocutors into sustained conversation around three interrelated themes—patriarchy, vulnerability, and justice—the book situates philosophy within its classical pedagogical origins while demonstrating its enduring relevance to questions of human existence.  

The dialogue interrogates social inequality and oppression as they manifest across sex, governance, and economy, examining the subordination and abuse of women within marriage and their natal families; the perversion of leadership into rulership within the state; and the economic exploitation of apprenticeship into slavery in informal settings. By situating abstract philosophical questions within concrete, lived experiences, The Triad bridges the gap between reason and emotion, theory and practice, and conventions and rights, allowing readers to test philosophical claims against the realities of social life.  

Rather than merely transmitting information, The Triad invites readers into sustained critical reflection on justice, vulnerability, responsibility, and human relationships.
