This review describes patterns of mortality among HIV’ adults hospitalized in internal medicine at the Jason Sendwe Provincial Hospital in the DRC and to assess the impact of the third delay on the target of UNAIDS. These results suggest the roles of opportunistic infections and the three delays in the high frequency of proportional and intra-hospital mortality in this study. Controlling these two determinants would be essential in achieving the WHO objectives in terms of mortality and the UNAIDS target «90-90-90».
