Mehendi

Mehendi Sharma is an assistant professor at Pearl Academy, India and a Cultural Theorist working at the intersection of folklore and design education. With over fifteen years of field engagement across Indian textile communities, her research uses ethnography and material analysis to study textiles as knowledge systems. In 2025, she presented her research at the American Folklore Society Annual Meeting, focusing on Phulkari textile.
