In this book we took into account some crucial bacterial infections such as Helicobacter pylori involved in many gastric and extra gastric diseases, Chlamydia trachomatis causing important gynecological infections and the multidrug-resistant (MDR) Gram-negative bacteria which constitute an important issue for establishing correct and appropriate therapies. Helicobacter pylpri is involved in chronic active gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, gastric carcinoma, mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma and other endothelial dysfunctions leading to vascular diseases. Chlamydia trachomatis is an obligate intracellular bacterium. It is considered the most common sexually transmitted disease that promotes an acute or chronic inflammation causing tissue damage, pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility and ectopic pregnancy. The multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria are currently an emergent issue strongly affecting the therapy outcomes.
