Due to the advancement in technology, there have been many changes in quadcopters. Today people are working on quadrotor designs which are large enough for carrying high payloads, and some so small that it can fit in the palm of a person. These copters are quite cost effective as even a middle – class person can afford it. Quadcopters today are mostly powered using LiPo batteries, which have their own risk and limitations. So, research is being conducted to find a better power source for these copters. One of the most promising options is using solar energy. The risk associated with u sing a LiPo battery can be eliminated by powering the copter using solar energy.
