This book reports the research done on the Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) suggesting possible relevance to Covid-19 pandemic. ARDS puzzle is resolved being recognized as an iatrogenic complication of fluid therapy that induce the newly recognized volumetric overload shocks (VOS) that cause ARDS. Substantial evidence based on reported articles on 14 new scientific discoveries in physics, physiology and medicine that has been published in reputable journals make the chapters of this book. The question on whether this ARDS is relevant is proposed and a call for immediate prospective, randomized, cohort, comparative study on the value of hypertonic sodium therapy is proposed with a protocol for it.
