This research was motivated by the longstanding debate regarding the benefits of issuing environmental reports. Corporations often release non-financial reports to showcase their environmental performance. However, previous empirical studies conducted in developed countries have yielded mixed results regarding the impact of environmental disclosures on firms' performance. Unfortunately, there is a scarcity of empirical evidence regarding the relationship between environmental disclosure and firm performance in developing countries, including India. The primary objective of this study was to investigate whether there exists a significant relationship between Corporate Environmental Disclosure (CED) and the firm performance of 311 companies listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in India.
