Hydrogen energy is a new type of clean energy. As the zero-carbon emission energy, hydrogen production from biomass is the most promising hydrogen production method. Hydrogen production technology from biomass is mainly divided into two types, namely biological method and chemical method. Biological method uses microbial metabolism to convert carbohydrate in biomass into hydrogen, such as dark fermentation biological hydrogen production, photo fermentation biological hydrogen production and dark light combined biological hydrogen production. Chemical method is to use biomass as raw material to produce hydrogen by thermophysical and chemical methods,such as biomass thermal cracking, gasification and supercritical conversion. In the book, basic principle and strengthening measures of hydrogen production from biomass was introduced in detail.
