Description

Due to the wide interest that was captured after the development of fifth generation technology, this paper discusses an overview of 5G from 100 varied sources and references to depict the most accurate information about the newest innovation in cellular network technology.

Results have shown that fifth generation technology or 5G’s key feature is "network slicing", a technology enabling hardware to support different services and applications through slices or partitions. 5G allows for 15-20 gigabytes per second on 1 millisecond latency. 5G can also cover or support a million devices per square kilometer, allowing multiple gadgets to function at the same time without “lagging” or “buffering”. 5G can operate in low-band (below 2GHz), mid-band (2-10GHz), and high-band (20-100GHz and above).
