Augustine A. Ikein, Ph.D. (Atlanta University) holds a B.Sc. (Economics) degree, from The City University, New York and MBA (Finance/Management), Adelphi University, New York. He is a recipient of the Fulbright Fellowship Award in 1998. He has been a Professor of Economics, Finance, and Policy Studies in US and Nigerian Institutions. He has held positions as H.O.D, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Professor and Dean, Post Graduate School at different times. He is a recipient of several Fellowship Awards namely; Fellow Petroleum Institute, Recipient of UNCF/Lily Foundation, Nissan Fellowship. He has Authored several books and articles such as The Impact of Oil on a Developing Country (Praeger, NY 1990), Oil and Fiscal Federalism, Oil, Democracy and the Promise of True Federalism in Nigeria, The Crude Gains and Crude Pains of Crude Export Dependence Economy, Oil, Nation Building and Foreign Policy.
