Are we adopting technological advances to promote learning or using them to reinforce age old biases. Researchers argue that digital learners think differently (Becker et al., 2015). Technology has reshaped the way the brain processes and applies information. Learners' brains are constantly working at reorganizing and rewiring to adapt to relentless demands to multitask and parallel process information (Hayes, 2010). In turn, technology should be utilized effectively to promote learning mastery and motivation. Digitization and globalization present distinct challenges and opportunities. Artificial intelligence both confirms and reinforces the permanence of gender stereotypes in educational and professional settings.
