Genetic testing is a medical test that identifies variations in genes, chromosomes, or proteins. The results of a genetic test can confirm or rule out a suspected genetic condition or help determine a persons chance of developing or inheriting a genetic disorder. The molecular analysis mainly conducted for: Newborn screening, Carrier testing, Prenatal testing, Preimplantation testing, Predictive and Forensic testing. Genetic testing prefers to rule out whether the results of individuals are positive or negative for a particular gene mutation. Medical genetic diagnostic test provided to patients for various genetic disorders includes thalassemia, cystic fibrosis, hereditary spherocytosis, G6PD deficiency, MTHFR (genetic test for folate metabolism) and triplet repeat disorder Fragile X syndrome.
